'That was like, kind of scary': 1 killed and another injured in Milwaukee shooting

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It's been a violent two days in the city of Milwaukee. Shootings have injured an 8-year-old child and killed two others.

In the latest deadly shooting early Saturday morning, Milwaukee police say one person was shot and killed and another was injured. One neighbor says he caught the terrifying incident on his surveillance camera.

"The gunfire that I heard, it was like 13, 14 shots and they were like back-to-back," said neighbor Lawrence Seaberry.

Surveillance video shows a large crowd outside of a bar on 14th and West Atkinson Avenue. The video shows the moments leading up to a deadly shooting.

Seaberry, who lives across the street, says he was outside right before it happened and saw an argument break out.

"I heard a lot of commotion, a lot of arguing, so I stood out there for a minute until about 12:50 a.m. when they started getting a little rough," said Seaberry. "I said 'it's time for me to get in the house and go to bed.'"

Milwaukee police say the shooting happened Saturday morning at 1:45 a.m. Police say a 46-year-old was shot to death and a 39-year-old was also injured and taken to the hospital.

"The next thing I know, I just heard some gunfire, and I was like 'well this is like normal,' but then I heard so many squad cars coming," said Seaberry.

Seaberry later watched in horror after he discovered the shooting was captured on his surveillance camera.

"That was like, kind of scary," said Seaberry. "Kind of stunned, like what is really going on because this is just… it was just mind blowing. It was kind of distraught."

Living in the area for 13 years, he says crime and hearing gunshots in the area is normal. He says he's concerned as it continues to escalate and hopes police are able to hold those involved responsible.

"Like what they say, what goes on in the dark is going to come to the light," said Seaberry. "He's going to get caught or they are going to get caught."

Milwaukee police say this is still an active investigation and are continuing to look for suspects. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Milwaukee Police at (414) 935-7360 or to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at (414) 224-Tips or P3 Tips.
