'The Hill Has Eyes' returns Oct. 1 in Franklin with 45 acres of outdoor terror 👻🦇

FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A classic outdoor haunt in the Midwest, The Hill Has Eyes, will mark a decade of terror as it opens on Friday, Oct. 1 at The Rock Sports Complex on Franklin.

The Hill Has Eyes experience is spread across 45 acres and this year's "60 minutes of sheer terror" will confront attendees in a 100% outdoor setting.

“It’s our 10th year, and it’s our scariest yet,” said Haunt Director Joe Zimmerman. “We can guarantee surprises around every corner."

Once you're contained and led to the gates of the haunted trailer park, The Hill's cast of mutant cannibal hillbillies will chase you and your friends through the trailer park of Failed Escape, officials say. All exits lead to Hunger Hollow, a toxic landfill where more than a million gallons of waste lay below.

"The captured are skinned, but if you survive and make it to the CARNIvore, you might just leave behind your soul. Dead End awaits … and, once you enter, there’s no turning back," officials say.

The Hill Has Eyes will also present "The Not SO Scary Halloween Party" for kids fun on Sundays in October at 2:30 p.m. It is ideal for guests ages 8 through 12. Kids are encouraged to dress up and trick or treat their way through the haunt.

“We’re celebrating our first decade of thrills and chills,” said Mike Zimmerman, CEO of ROC Ventures. “A good scare never gets old!”

The haunt is open for only 10 nights and will sell out quickly, officials say. Thrill-seekers can get their tickets now by clicking here.

Officials say there are rewards for groups, including the following:

  • A group of five or more will land a bucket of White Claw or Coca-Cola for those under age 21.
  • Groups of 10 or more will receive the drink bucket and a beanie for each member.
  • Large groups of at least 15 will receive all the rewards, plus $3 off each ticket.
