The Ozaukee County Fair returns with free family fun and the Budweiser Clydesdales
CBS 58 CEDARBURG, Wis. — The 167th Ozaukee County Fair is underway in Cedarburg.
It’s one of the last free county fairs in the Midwest.
Spend a day enjoying the best of Ozaukee County with rides, games, live entertainment, fair food and agricultural exhibits.
One of this year's biggest attractions is the famous Budweiser Clydesdales. They’re making their first appearance in Southeast Wisconsin in more than 15 years.
"We were privileged to be chosen," said Jamie Nevins, the advertising chairperson for the Ozaukee County Fair board. "They tour the country a lot, but Cedarburg was chosen."
The fair has remained free to attend since World War II, and it’s a tradition organizers say is important. They want to keep the event accessible and affordable for the entire community.
In addition to livestock shows and classic fair attractions, visitors can take part in uniquely Ozaukee competitions like belt sander races and a stuffed animal show for children.
The fair continues through Sunday, Aug 2.
