ELKHORN, Wis, (CBS 58) -- The Walk of Terror opens Friday, Sept. 27 in Elkhorn. You'll hear nothing but screams and scares coming from inside the haunted house every Friday and Saturday night through Nov. 2.

It started as a front yard haunt and a big Halloween party more than 30 years ago. Today, it's grown to 40 rooms of pure terror. Beware as you walk through, because these creatures like to play on your fears and phobias.

"Anything in this house that you could be scared of, that you could be possibly scared of, is here," said Nellie Wood, the co-owner of Walk of Terror. "We have snakes, we have spiders, we have gore, we have claustrophobia, dark places -- if you don’t like it, it’s probably here."

But just remember, with every spook, you're supporting a good cause.

"We donate to charity every year, so we’ve donated $60,000 and counting to charity," said Woods. This year, they're donating to two scholarship funds in Elkhorn and East Troy.
