There's no place like Old World Wisconsin's Home for the Holidays
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Are you craving simpler times during the busy holiday season? Or maybe you've always wondered what the holidays were like the in the 19th century?
Old World Wisconsin's Home for the Holidays is giving the experience of a Victorian era holiday.
Learn about the traditions from around the world, plus meet Krampus and Old St. Nick. Home for the Holidays is happening Saturdays and Sundays for the next two weeks from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
"We transform our Crossroads Village into a Victorian holiday, celebrating the traditions of the people of the past from Christmas eve to New Years Day and everything in between," said Maria Comiskey, general manager of events.
"We'll have wagon rides and time travel tokens, which is something we bring over from the summer. You can purchase goods at the general store or tasty teas and other things at the Four Mile House."
