While not as brutal as yesterday, still a brisk day with chills hovering the teens this afternoon. But we do have some highlights to focus on in the days ahead. For starters, we have hit the bottom on our sunset times. Our earliest sunset of the year has arrived at 4:17pm. But we do hold steady at this mark over the next week or so. Have a look:
By the day after Christmas the sunset is back up to 4:23pm. And sometimes good things happen on this day temp wise too! Check out this fun fact: Interestingly enough, today's date also holds the average last occurrence of a fifty-degree day. And I'm not one to gloat about warmth like this without delivering actual good news in the forecast. After temps have fared below normal since our last day at 50 degrees November 25th, we have potentially two more 50s on the way! Quiet weather is expected through this stretch. Even though there will be a breeze at times, it should be a good weekend to get outdoors and get some of those holiday chores done!I'm meteorologist Rebecca Schuld
