MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Republican nominee for Wisconsin governor Tom Tiffany was in Menomonee Falls on Monday, Sept. 28 for a roundtable to discuss energy rates.

Last Thursday was Tiffany's last roundtable, when his campaign blocked two reporters from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel from getting in. 

Monday, all members of the media were let in. 

Tiffany discussed his plant to try to lower energy rates throughout the state of Wisconsin. 

Tiffany wants to embrace nuclear energy and keep base loads of power open across the state. 

“We’ve been going around the state talking about three things: affordability, accountability and common sense and all three of them come together on this issue regarding energy policy," Tiffany said. 

Tiffany brought up his opponent, Democratic candidate David Crowley several times, pointing to the idea that electrical rates would continue to go up if Crowley becomes governor.
