MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office investigators say they've taken a 19-year-old Milwaukee man into custody in connection to the freeway shooting on I-94 W at Mitchell Boulevard Monday, May 20.

Officials say the shooting stemmed from a road rage conflict near W. National Avenue and Miller Park Way, between the suspect and another driver - a 25-year-old man with two other passengers in his vehicle.

The sheriff's office says the conflict continued onto the freeway, when the suspect allegedly fired shots at the victim's vehicle around 7:20 a.m. The vehicle was struck several times, but no one was injured.

The driver of the victim's vehicle got off the freeway and dialed 911.

A MCSO tactical unit served a search warrant at the suspect's south side home Friday morning and took him into custody without incident.

Officials say he's being held at the Milwaukee County Jail pending criminal charges.
