After a couple of pleasant days in the 70s temperatures return to the 80s the middle of this week with the potential for 90° not far away. We are currently sitting at seven days in the 90s this year all coming in the month of July. That surpasses the average number of 90s in July which is 4. The warmest temperature this year has been 94° which came a few weeks ago.
Each day this week gets just a little bit warmer with low 80s arriving Wednesday and Thursday and then upper 80s by the end of the week. 90° is not out of the question.
The temperature trend for the end of July into the first day of August is looking warm. The Climate Prediction Center has a 60% chance of warmer than average temperatures during that time period. On average August 5th is the day we turn the corner and our averages start getting cooler.
Download the updated CBS 58 Ready Weather app to track the temperatures as we make another run at 90°.
