MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee kids are celebrating after a big donation of art supplies to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee.
US Cellular donated $5,000 worth of paint, brushes, easels and even cleaning supplies.
The supplies are going to clubs all over the area, to be used in programs supported by Arts @ Large.
Club leaders tell us it's an important gift, especially since funding for arts isn't often a priority.
"It makes them want to come," said Morgan Gathings, senior club manager, Boys & Girls Clubs. "It makes them enjoy it, it makes them express themselves creatively in a way that they don't get to do at school with math, science, English, social studies. So it just gets them excited."
The clubs were one of 50 groups from across the US getting big donations from US Cellular this season.
