U.S. Marshals arrest 260 in SE Wisconsin in special operation

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The U.S. Marshals Service Eastern District of Wisconsin Fugitive Task Force arrested 260 individuals during Operation Big Top between April 1 and June 30, according to officials.

The operation, aimed at reducing violent crime, targeted four major urban areas in SE Wisconsin.

Among those arrested, 29 were wanted for homicide. The task force also cleared 437 warrants, seized 83 firearms, 132.8 kg of narcotics and $84,547 in money. Additionally, one vehicle was confiscated.

Operation Big Top was a collaborative effort involving multiple local and federal agencies.

In the press release about the operation, U.S. Marshal Anna Ruzinski praised the task force's pursuit of fugitives and their focus on community safety.
