US Marshals arrest suspect wanted in connection to death of 49-year-old Racine man
RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A third suspect wanted in connection to a shooting that killed 49-year-old Willie May and injured a 44-year-old man, was arrested by US Marshals Tuesday, Oct. 2.
Police established that 18-year-old Latrell Davis was located near North and Charles Street and set up surveillance near the residence.
The Racine Police Department says three individuals left the residence, got into a vehicle and attempted to drive off. The US Marshals conducted a traffic stop, and two of the individuals ran from the vehicle in different directions.
The two males were taken into custody after a foot chase and yard search - neither of these subjects were Davis.
Through further investigations, the US Marshals located Davis at a residence near 63rd Street and 26th Avenue in Kenosha, where they took him into custody after Davis jumped out of a window.
Police say the other two males were arrested on unrelated charges.
Jerstad Agerholm School and Hope School were put on lockdown for a short time during the search.
A 15-year-old and 17-year-old were previously taken into custody in connection to May's death.
