MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The $500 tuition credit for UW System nursing and pharmacy students working at COVID-19 vaccination sites has been extended as of Wednesday, March 31.
UW System President Tommy Thompson says the credit will be extended to May 22. The credit had been set to expire on Wednesday.
It will be available for students working between May 23 and Aug. 31. Students who receive the tuition credit for the spring semester are also for the summer credit as well, officials say.
“I’m so proud that our students are helping vaccinate eligible Wisconsinites,” Thompson said. “They have been eager to help, and we are glad we are able to offer these tuition credits.”
