MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- If you have the chance, you can go outside and see something astronomical.
You'll be able to see the Geminid meteor shower in Wisconsin on Wednesday, Dec. 13.
The sky will be lit up with dozens of meteors, which will begin around 10:00 p.m.
UWM students and others were at the Manfred Olson Planetarium to learn how astronomical events influence the Jewish calendar.
On Friday, Dec. 15, UWM is holding a free stargazing event on the Skydeck at their Physics Building. That event begins at 8:00 p.m.
