MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A big weekend of activities is on the horizon in Milwaukee, highlighted by the Wisconsin State Fair. Kicking off on Thursday, Aug. 1, the State Fair at State Fair Park runs through Aug. 11, featuring various attractions and entertainment.
Das Fest Wisconsin, celebrating German American culture, will take place from Friday, Aug. 2, to Sunday, Aug. 4, at the Bavarian Bierhaus. The festival includes live music, German cuisine and the Little Leg Races featuring Dachshunds and Corgis.
Bronzeville Week, from Saturday, Aug. 3, to Aug. 10, celebrates African American culture with performances and cultural events.
On Saturday, Sprecher Root Beer Bash at Bayshore will offer free root beer floats and family-friendly activities.
MobCraft Weird Fest Block Party will also take place on Saturday, featuring unique entertainment and craft beers. The event celebrates MobCraft Beer's anniversary in Walker’s Point.
