Previewing art and entertainment headed to the Third Ward
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Ian Thompson of Visit Milwaukee joined us on Thursday, Dec. 12 to preview the city’s packed weekend calendar, featuring family-friendly activities, live performances and sports.
The Milwaukee Panthers men’s basketball team will face Akron at noon Sunday, Dec. 15 at Fiserv Forum as part of the MKE Tip-Off. The event includes three games, with Northwestern playing Georgia Tech at 2:30 p.m. and San Francisco meeting Loyola Chicago at 5 p.m. Digital tickets start at $35 and grant access to all three games.
Zawadi Day, a pre-Kwanzaa celebration, happens Saturday, Dec. 14 at the Wisconsin Black Historical Society and Museum. For $10, attendees can participate in workshops and a Kwanzaa class.
Play Date with Art at the Milwaukee Art Museum on Friday, Dec. 13 offers pastel drawing activities and sing-alongs for children.
The Hop’s "Holidays on The Hop" concludes Sunday with jazz musician J.L. Russell performing on the streetcar.
The Charlie Brown Christmas Tree Lot at Milwaukee Public Market will be open Saturday, featuring unique, wild-harvested trees from Northern Wisconsin.
