SHOREWOOD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Leash up your pups! A dog-friendly fundraiser supporting local animals in need is coming up in just one month.
"Walk, Run, Wag" --Barktoberfest edition-- will take place Saturday, Sept. 13, at Estabrook Park in Shorewood.
Participants can sign up to run the 5K or enjoy a two-mile walk through the park in support of Friends of MADACC.
The race is set to begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by a full day of Barktoberfest events including vendors, adoptable dogs, and pet-friendly activities and demonstrations.
All proceeds will go directly toward helping animals in Milwaukee County through Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commision's adoptions, licensing, veterinary care and more.
