MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A big weekend is ahead in Milwaukee, including the annual start to the festival season with PrideFest 2024. Ian Thompson of VISIT Milwaukee joined us on Thursday, June 6 to take a look at what's ahead.
ART 64 will take place in Wauwatosa on Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8. The event features a bracket-style live performance painting tournament with 64 artists competing for $20,000. The event includes food, shopping, musical performances and a dedicated children’s area.
The Summer Concert Series returns to the Deer District on Friday nights, featuring Latin Swing Factor. The concerts, located in The Beer Garden, are free and open to the public, with food and drink specials available.
PrideFest Milwaukee, billed as Wisconsin's largest LGBTQ+ event, will be held at Henry Maier Festival Park from Thursday to Saturday. The festival features drag shows, performances by David Archuleta, Dixon Dallas and Icona Pop, plus more.
Also, the Lakeshore Chinooks will face the Wausau Green Bay Rockers on Sunday at 6:35 p.m. at Moonlight Graham Field in Mequon, with a special celebration for Gill's Birthday Party.
