Previewing upcoming events in Racine County
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- There is more fun to be had in the Milwaukee area during February than just activities related to Valentine's Day. Ian Thompson of VISIT Milwaukee joined us on Wednesday, Feb. 7 to take an early look at some unique events set to hit the area.
The Marcus Performing Arts Center is showcasing "The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical" through March 10, presenting the journey of Percy Jackson with performances from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. This adaptation of the New York Times bestseller, with an original rock score, is recommended for fans of all ages.
"Brunch, Beats & Eats: A Black Love Karaoke Brunch" will take place at Turner Hall's Turning Tables on Sunday, Feb. 11, featuring a menu from Turning Tables and music by DJ A-BIZ from HYFIN. The event combines food, music and a karaoke experience focused on celebrating Black love.
Vino Third Ward is hosting a Galentine's Day Wine Tasting & Sweet Treats Pairing on Tuesday, Feb. 13, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., where guests can enjoy wines paired with four sweet treats from Blooming Lotus, guided by a Level 2 Sommelier.
The 12th Annual Baconfest MKE is scheduled to take place at Potawatomi Casino Hotel on Sunday, Feb. 25, celebrating bacon with exclusive items, a $15 Potawatomi Casino FireKeepers Club Rewards Play certificate and more.
