MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Using music to fight crime in Milwaukee.
"We need to put these guns down. Can't afford to lose another can't afford to lose another child."
At Life Church, community activist Tracey Dent and Voices Against Violence Coalition released their 'Stop the violence' music video called 'Life lost - help us'.
The video was based on 15-year-old Davion Patterson -- who was shot and killed trying to break up a fight.
"The goal for this music video is to bring awareness and encourage people to take a stand against violence. We want to, we don't want to shoot it out, we want to talk it out," said Dent.
Dent says that is the message for Milwaukee -- 'Don't shoot it out, talk it out'.
He says it is about finding alternative solutions.
