WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- Vice President JD Vance is set to visit Wisconsin Wednesday, July 8.

The White House confirms the Vice President will be visiting Milwaukee, where he is expected to deliver remarks on the Trump administration's work to combat fraud.

But there's speculation he might also revisit the President's claim that he actually defeated Joe Biden in 2020. In anticipation of that, Mayor Cavalier Johnson sent a letter to Vance denouncing the allegations relating to that election. 

Mayor Johnson says the letter invites Vance to talk with election officials in Milwaukee. 

VP Vance last came to Wisconsin back in February, when he visited a machining factory in Plover.
