Walmart launches new Pickup tower at store in Delavan

DELAVAN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Walmart is making picking up online orders easier for customers in Delavan.

After placing an order online and choosing the pickup option at checkout, an associate will load the item into the tower and a barcode will be sent to the customer's smartphone. Customers can then pick up their orders by scanning the barcode.

Walmart says most Pickup Towers are paired with Pickup Lockers, which gives customers the ability to pick up large items, like TVs, while still using the time-saving convenience of the towers.

Customers at Walmart Supercenter on Geneva Street in Delavan will have access to the Pickup Tower on August 10.
