Warm and soggy spring comes to an end
It's June 1st, which means we've officially closed the book on climatological spring! This spring was warm and wet. In fact, it was our 3rd warmest and 3rd wettest spring on record.
We had no shortage of severe weather either with 21 tornadoes across the state - all of which were in May.
June is typically our most active month for severe weather in Wisconsin, and we have plenty of rain and storm chances over the next week. Today's rain is wrapping up with nice and dry weather returning on Sunday, but storm chances return Monday afternoon and evening.
Additional storm chances are expected Tuesday afternoon and evening, and again early Wednesday morning and Wednesday afternoon.
Some of these storms may be strong to severe as temps rise into the upper 70s to low 80s with noticeable humidity.
A large upper level low is expected to sit and spin to our north throughout the second half of the week, which may trigger afternoon pop up showers and storms nearly every day. Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather App to see the full 7 day forecast.
