Waukesha County: Fatal crash involving motorcycle and dump truck under investigation in Town of Lisbon

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Waukesha County authorities are investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and dump truck in the Town of Lisbon. 

It happened Thursday, May 26, around 9:35 a.m. on Lisbon Road and Maple Avenue. 

According to the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department, an initial investigation shows the dump truck was traveling westbound on Lisbon Road when the driver, a 56-year-old man, struck the motorcycle which entered the intersection from Maple Avenue. 

The motorcycle was operated by a 55-year-old man who was pronounced deceased on scene.

The operator of the dump truck remained on scene and did not have any apparent injuries.

The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Town of Lisbon Fire Department, and Merton Community Fire Department.
