Waukesha Salvation Army gets coins valued over $1,000 in red kettles

WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Waukesha Salvation Army has received five special coins in their red kettles so far this holiday season.
One of the most valuable coins was received on Friday, December 1 at the red kettle in front of the inside entrance to J.C. Penny at Brookfield Square Mall. The coin was a South African Krugerrand valued at $1,300 to $1,400.
A Canadian Silver Dollar was also received on Friday at the Hobby Lobby in Waukesha on Sunset Avenue valued at $15.
The other three coins of value received are a Canadian Gold maple Leaf valued at $1,300 to $1,400, a Canadian silver dollar valued at $15 and a silver dollar from an unknown country valued at $15.
