A boost in temperatures despite the lack of sunshine
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Students at Waukesha’s Stem Academy spent part of their day getting some exercise. The school recently received specialized bikes as part of a program called “Riding for Focus.”
The program is designed to introduce students to cycling positive effects on academics, health, and well being.
James Murray is the Principal of Waukesha Stem Academy.
“We have kids that have been riding for 10 – 12 years, and some that have been riding for 10 days, so that blows me away and it’s amazing to see.”
The school was also given helmets and maintenance equipment for the bikes. The students were able to learn about bike safety as well.
