Wauwatosa East High School tennis players help "rehab" walkers for residents at assisted living center

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A great act of charity happened this week in Wauwatosa as 30 girls from Wauwatosa East High School’s Girl’s Tennis Team helped out some members of their local community.

According to a release, the team served as the "Pit Crew" to change the tennis balls on the walkers used by many of the residents at Elaine’s Hope Memory Care in Wauwatosa.

The tennis balls help the walkers to glide more easily allowing for improved mobility.

In addition to the new tennis balls, the team also gave the walkers a wash and spent part of their day with the members at the facility.
