Man charged in hit-and-run that killed Watertown father of 3
WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A man from Ukraine now living in Wauwatosa was brought to tears while on walk through his neighborhood.
Many of Valentyn Potapenko's relatives still live in Ukraine and have been forced to flee their homes.
Potapenko was on late-night walk and saw several homes in his neighborhood lit up in blue and yellow lights in support of his home country.
"It was touching....just one of the ways people are showing support here. Like they know nothing about... they might not have any relatives or anybody on the ground. But just that... yellow and blue light, it's simple but it means a lot."
Potapenko started a foundation to raise money for Ukraine, CLICK HERE to help.
