WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Wauwatosa movie theater is about to reopen.
The Rosebud Cinema is back in business Wednesday night, Feb. 14, after closing during the pandemic. Staff has been working for months to return the theater to its former glory.
The theater initially struggled to find new staff, but after some repairs and lots of community support, the owners say they are thrilled to reopen.
"Very excited, the staff, is pumped, the management is pumped," said Lee Barczak, co-owner with the Neighborhood Theater Group.
"So I'm hopeful that as our patrons come back, they'll have a lot of the same features they loved before," said Barczak.
The historic theater is nearly 100 years old, but it will be playing modern movies starting with "Madame Web" for the next two weeks.
The first showing is at 6:30 p.m.
