WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- We Energies is once again accepting applications for their next safe digging "ambassadog."

The winning pup will be featured in a campaign on social media, spreading the safety message: "Doggone it! Call 811 at least three days before you dig."

We Energies customers interested in participating are asked to take a few photos of their dog digging or in their favorite place to dig. 

Then, submit those photos at we-energies.com before 11:59 p.m. July 10.

We Energies will narrow down the entries to a few finalists before allowing customers to vote on the winner, who will be featured in an ad campaign beginning in August. 

Last year's winner was 1-year-old Idaleen, a German Shepherd from Hartford.
