We Energies continues holiday tradition with 98th annual cookie book

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Milwaukeeans and Wisconsinites are getting ready for the holidays, and We Energies is continuing one of its longest-running seasonal traditions with the return of its annual cookie book.

This year's We Energies Cookie Book features 38 recipes submitted by customers. The company received more than 350 submissions for the 2026 edition.

The theme of this year's book is "Baking Spirits Bright."

Among the featured recipes are two versions of the classic sugar cookie, along with a crispy oatmeal cherry cookie and dozens of other holiday treats.

Now in its 98th year, the cookie book has become a holiday tradition not only for We Energies, but also for generations of Wisconsin families.

"Families have told us it's become a way to kick off the holiday season. They bake together. They keep collections of these books," We Energies spokesperson Amy Jahns said. "It's just fun. People come out, they come through our drive-thrus, they crank their holiday tunes, they have on their holiday gear and their nice Christmas sweaters, and they have so much fun."

The 2026 We Energies Cookie Book will be available online beginning Monday at 8 a.m.

There will also be several opportunities to pick up a free copy in person throughout November.
