West Bend man arrested for OWI after having passenger blow into Ignition Interlock Device
WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A West Bend man was arrested for his 6th OWI after having his passenger blow into his Ignition Interlock Device.
Police stopped a 39-year-old man for erratic driving on Sunday shortly after 6 p.m. near Scenic Drive West and Cedar Ridge Drive.
The West Bend man showed signs of intoxication.
Police say he's been convicted of OWI 5 times and is required to have an Ignition Interlock Device installed on his vehicle.
The investigating officer learned that the passenger, a 35-year-old West Bend man, provided the breath sample allowing the vehicle to start.
The officer arrested the driver for OWI 6th Offense and Tampering with an Ignition Interlock Device.
The 35-year-old passenger was also arrested for Tampering with an Ignition Interlock Device.
