MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Fire Department Chief Aaron Lipski is waging a friendly bet with Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Jaime Moore.

"I would like to challenge you to a friendly little sparring match here in hopes that the Milwaukee Brewers take all," Chief Lipski said in a video shared by the fire department Tuesday. "If we win, you have to wear a Milwaukee Fire Department T-shirt proudly and post it on social media. If you win, I'll do the same. So, I've got one question for you: what's your shirt size?"

The Los Angeles Fire Department shared a video of Chief Moore on social media Tuesday night, accepting Lipski's challenge and holding up an LAFD T-shirt.

We spoke with Chief Lipski Wednesday, and he told us this friendly competition gives the fire department an opportunity to support players who support them.

"I've had the opportunity to witness some of the Brewers in person, stepping outside of their role as really excellent ball players and giving back to the community," Lipski said. "And just to be able to meet people in that setting, you start to realize there are just some really, really salt of the earth good folks."

Chief Lipski added he's known LA's fire chief for several years, so it was a no-brainer posting the bet proposal on social media.
