WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- You'll soon pay more to own and register your vehicle across Wisconsin. It's going to cost $85 for an annual registration, a $10 increase.
The fee hikes are part of the state budget. The price of a title will jump $69.50 to $164.50.
The changes go into effect Oct. 1, and the DMV has a warning for drivers.
"People need to be aware if their registration expires September 30th, that means their new registration period starts October 1st, and that new fee will apply," said Wisconsin DMV administrator Kristina Boardman.
You can find a list of fees on the Wisconsin DMV website, located here.
