Wisconsin State Fair job fair to be held Saturday, June 5
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Wisconsin State Fair is seeking staff for their 2021 event.
A job fair will be held Saturday, June 5, from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at the Exposition Center at Wisconsin State Fair Park, located at 8200 W. Greenfield Avenue in West Allis.
The Wisconsin State Fair is looking to hire staff in the following areas:
- Admissions - concert ushers, ticket sellers and ticket takers
- Agriculture - barn laborers (18+), outlot attendants (18+) and traffic controllers (17+)
- Facility Services - equipment operators and laborers
- Public Safety - event support staff (18+) and public safety officers (18+)
Employees will be required to work all 11 days, Aug. 5-Aug. 15, and must be at least 16 years old.
Attendees are asked to enter at Gate 4, Gate 5 or walk in through the pedestrian gate at the corner of S. 84th Street and W. Greenfield Avenue.
Applicants will be asked to fill out employment documents upon a successful on-site interview, and all applicants 18+ must pass a criminal background check.
Attendees are asked to bring a resume if possible, proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. (documents for I-9 verification), a drivers license/ID card, birth certificate, or school ID, and a Social Security card for payroll purposes.
The Wisconsin State Fair will be operating under current CDC and DHS guidelines at the time of the event.
