A tree with Wisconsin roots is en route to Washington as a Christmas centerpiece for The White House.
The 19-foot tall Balsam Fir grew in Oconto, which is about a half hour north of Green Bay.
The tree will be displayed inside The White House in the Blue Room, which is one of three rooms used for state functions.
