Woman arrested after fatal stabbing in Racine

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 22-year-old woman was arrested in Racine following the fatal stabbing of her 25-year-old boyfriend, according to the Racine Police Department.

Officers responded to a home near 17th and Howe at around 10:58 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 2 after receiving a report of an assault in progress.

The woman who was arrested reportedly admitted to stabbing her boyfriend, who was transported to a hospital by friends before being airlifted to Milwaukee due to the severity of his injuries. He succumbed to his injuries during surgery.

The woman has been charged with first-degree reckless homicide.
