Woman arrested for heroin possession at Muskego Public Library
MUSKEGO, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Big Bend woman was arrested for allegedly possessing heroin while at the Muskego Public Library.
Sherry Sprague, 49, is charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance-Heroin, Possession of a Controlled Substance-THC, and Bail Jumping.
Police were called to the Muskego Public Library around 3:48 p.m. on March 12th for a report of a woman who was vomiting near her vehicle in the parking lot.
When police spoke with the woman, later identified as Sprague, they said she was breathing heavily, looking for something that did not appear to be there, acting agitated, and making furtive movements.
Officers located a small glass vial of Narcan on Sprague, a used syringe in the front passenger seat of the vehicle she was in, and other drug paraphernalia consistent with heroin use.
Officers spoke with a library employee who said that Sprague would come in and out of the library at various times and meet with a man. The employee told police that each time she came back into the library, she appeared to be more and more under the influence of something.
The employee told police that the man who was with Sprague hid from police in one of the meeting rooms. Officers searched the rooms but believed that the man left on foot. Officers later identified the man and made contact with him at home. He was not charged with a crime.
