NOW: Wouldn’t be April without a little bit of snow. We have a few opportunities this week to see it.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58)--Two chances this coming week to see some light snow.  Monday morning and later Wednesday into early Thursday.  Either time won't be impressive at all in terms of accumulation.  Perhaps a slight, slushy amount in all.  Just watch out for slick spots first thing Monday with temperatures hovering around 32.  Highs will be seasonable on Sunday, in the low 50s, then drop into the upper 30s on Monday.  The wind will make it feel much colder as well. Look for 40s for the midweek and then 50s to near 60 as we enter the upcoming weekend.  Something to look forward to in the upcoming days.

By the way, you can get snow in April.  Just over an inch on average.  And there have been years we've seen more. In more recent times, we got close to a foot on April 9, 1973.  I believe that was the original date of the Brewers Home Opener that year. It was delayed for four days.

Also, remember, this week is Severe Weather Awareness Week in Wisconsin.  We'll be giving you some soundful advice, both on air and online, about being weather safe and savvy when conditions become severe.  So stay tuned.
