Woman arrested for OWI, hit and run after crashing into traffic signal in West Bend

WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) – A woman is arrested for drunk driving after police in West Bend say she hit a traffic control signal while driving nearly three times over the legal limit.

West Bend Police say someone reported that around 1:50 a.m. on Sunday, July 8 they saw a vehicle driving south on S. Main Street hit a traffic control signal at W. Paradise Drive. Police were told the driver continued going south on S. Main Street before pulling over in a Walgreens parking lot due to heavy front-end damage.

Officers say the driver, a 24-year-old woman from Germantown was drunk and blew a .205 in a PBT. She was later arrested for OWI and hit and run. Police say the woman was not hurt in the crash.
