MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Big moves for the Brewers Monday, locking in the return of one of their biggest stars.

Milwaukee picks up the club option on World Series MVP William Contreras, ensuring Wild Bill will be back with the Crew in 2027.

Contreras has been with the Brewers since 2023. The club also extended the qualifying offer to Jake Bauers, a one-year deal worth more than $23 million.

The NLCS MVP has until Nov. 17 to accept the offer, but should he decline and sign with another team, the Brewers could receive a compensatory draft pick.

The club also declined options on catcher Gary Sanchez and pitcher Antonio Senzatela, while pitcher Dustin May declined his mutual option.
