CBS 58 WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 23-year-old woman died on Sunday night, Oct. 4, after driving the wrong way on Highway 16 in Waukesha County and hitting two oncoming vehicles head-on, according to the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office.
The crash happened at around 10:14 p.m. in the westbound lanes west of Ryan Street.
The woman was the sole occupant of her vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the other two vehicles had non-life-threatening injuries.
Highway 16 was closed for about six hours while the Wisconsin State Patrol investigated and crews cleared the scene. The crash is being investigated.
