Thursday, Aug. 14, a judge sentenced Zariah Johnson to 32 years with 15 years of extended supervision.
The shooting happened Aug. 15, 2024 near 39th and Vliet.
Johnson told investigators she observed a group of teens breaking her sister's car window near the front of their home on 37th Street before she grabbed a handgun belonging to her mother and fired warning shots to scare them off.
