It has certainly been a rainy month! This September already, only 8 days out of 22 completed days have been dry and quiet, and today is the first day now in an entire week since we have completely dry and quiet conditions expected. The rainiest day was back on September 19 with Milwaukee getting to 1.49" and that helped put us about an inch above average for precipitation for the month to date.
High pressure has moved in and is developing to our northeast which is what is keeping us on the quieter side and allowing for some sun. A small light rain chance is possible very early Friday morning, but aside from that, we should stay partly sunny through the weekend.
This area of high pressure is also moving in a direction that is continuing to keep the onshore wind going. This means temperatures are staying below average, and highs will remain in the 60s through the weekend, before the low 70s finally return for the start of the new week Monday. This will lead us to our next chance for showers late Tuesday into Wednesday.
