Alexis Staniec, Meteorologist

Alexis is the weekend evening meteorologist and began here at CBS 58 in July of 2025.
Prior to joining the Hometown Team, Alexis worked for 3 years at WFRV in Green Bay, where she started as the weekend meteorologist before being quickly promoted to the weekday noon and 4pm spot. During her time in Northeast Wisconsin, she covered all types of weather, including tornado outbreaks, plenty of snow, and unique weather to Lake Michigan, such as pneumonia fronts! Just 2 hours south now, Alexis is thrilled to continue forecasting for the Badger State.
Alexis knew at a young age that she wanted to become a broadcast meteorologist, so she followed her dream, and attended Millersville University of Pennsylvania where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology with minors in mathematics and media arts production. During her time in undergrad, Alexis interned with the North Dakota Atmospheric Resource Board, where she lived and worked in western North Dakota as a radar and aviation meteorologist. While also in school, Alexis interned with the National Weather Service based out of Gaylord, MI, which also helped her grow as a meteorologist and forecaster. Although her passion for weather continued to grow in school, her favorite part of college was being an outfielder of the Millersville D2 softball team for 4 years.
Alexis then went on to graduate with her master's degree from Northwestern University, which she was able to achieve while working full-time her first year at Channel 5 in Green Bay. Now in Milwaukee, Alexis is excited to work with such a knowledgeable team and keep learning and growing as a meteorologist.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Alexis grew up on the Jersey Shore and loves how close she now lives to Lake Michigan with her significant other, Cody, and their 2 dogs Woody and Zyn.
You can catch Alexis' forecasts on Saturdays at 5, 9, and 10pm, and on Sundays at 5:30, 9, and 10pm.
Follow her on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
