JEFFERSON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- An investigation is underway following a fatal accident in Jefferson County, near the Waukesha County line Tuesday night, May 28. 

It happened just after 7 p.m. on I-94 EB/WB near Sullivan, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and Wisconsin State Patrol.

Officials say initial information suggests a car traveling eastbound lost control and crossed through the median, striking two westbound vehicles, including a semi-truck. The driver of the car was killed, and two occupants of the other vehicles involved sustained non-life-threatening injuries. 

The incident remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
