1-on-1 with Marquette's David Joplin ahead of New Mexico matchup
CLEVELAND, Ohio (CBS 58) -- CBS 58's Darius Joshua catches up with Milwaukee native and Marquette senior forward David Joplin.
Joplin is one game away from becoming the program leader in games played at Marquette. He is tied with Lazar Hayward with 138. Tipoff against New Mexico will be game No. 139.
"That's pretty cool," said Joplin. "Testament to the wins, tournament appearances, and my teammates."
"He old, he unc," said Kam Jones, Marquette senior guard. "But I'm right there behind him."
Three of Marquette's seniors -- Joplin, Jones (136), and Stevie Mitchell (134) are all three of the top four players in games played for the program.
Joplin also talks about the matchup with New Mexico and being in the tournament for the fourth straight year.
