1 person airlifted to hospital after car crashes into bank of trees

FOX POINT, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 25-year-old man was taken to the hospital in serious condition after his vehicle left the roadway and ended up in a bank of trees.

It happened around 12 a.m. Tuesday morning, Jan. 25 near Lake Drive and Green Tree Rd in Fox Point.

According to the North Shore Fire Department the driver was the only occupant in the vehicle. Due to the damage of the vehicle, police say the driver required extensive extrication to free him.

Fox Point Police are investigating the cause of the crash. No other patients were evaluated, treated or transported on scene.
