$100,000 winning Powerball ticket sold at Hawley Food Mart
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Someone is holding on to a $100,000 winning Powerball ticket sold at Hawley Food Mart on Hawley Road.
The winning ticket matched four of five numbers in the Wednesday, Aug. 30 drawing (4-13-35-61-69) plus the Powerball (4). The ticket included the $1 Power Play option turning a $50,000 win into a $100,000 win because of the 2X Power Play multiplier.
According to the Wisconsin Lottery, this is the second time this month the Hawley Food Mart has sold a large winning ticket. On Aug. 4, they sold a winning $30,384 Fast Play Progressive Jackpot ticket.
"Lately, a lot of people are talking about us as a lucky store," said Hawley Food Mart Manager Pramod Patel. "We've had many $1,000 winners along with the big tickets. Lottery is popular here."
Wisconsin Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive a 2% Retailer Performance Winning Ticket Incentive up to $100,000.
