WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) — An 18-year-old man was arrested early Saturday morning after police say he fled a traffic stop and crashed several blocks away.

According to the West Allis Police Department, an officer attempted to stop a vehicle around 1:55 a.m. near South 61st Street and West Greenfield Avenue.

Police say the vehicle fled from the traffic stop before crashing near South 58th Street and West Greenfield Avenue.

The 18-year-old driver was taken into custody on allegations of eluding an officer, recklessly endangering safety, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and carrying a concealed weapon.
